Dr. John Halpin

Dr. John Halpin, Board Certified Ophthalmologist, is a native
to the Tri-State. He has been practicing as an eye doctor
in the Cincinnati area for more than 29 years. Dr. Halpin
first attended the University of Kentucky where he earned
his B.S. in 1959. |

From
1959-1961 Dr. Halpin was privately employed. In 1962,
looking to further his education, Dr. Halpin attended
Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio where he earned
his M.B.A. in 1963. From 1963-1969 Dr. Halpin was
a student at the University of Kentucky where he received
his medical degree in 1969. Dr. Halpin completed his
internship in 1970 at the Memorial Hospital in Savannah,
Georgia. From 1970-1972 Dr. Halpin joined the Roach-
Fischer Family Practice where he worked as a primary
care physician. |

In 1972, realizing his true calling in ophthalmology, Dr.
Halpin began his ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Clinic
in Rochester, Minnesota. Since 1975, Dr. John Halpin has
been recognized as one of the leading eye doctors in the
Cincinnati tri-state area. Dr. Halpin has professional affiliations
with The American Academy of Ophthalmology, Outpatient Ophthalmic
Surgical Society, American Medical Association, Ohio State
Medical Association, Kentucky Medical Association, Cincinnati
Academy of Medicine, Northern Kentucky Medical Society,
and the Cincinnati Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Halpin
provides general eye exams as well as cataract surgery. |
Dr. Michael S. Halpin
As a founding partner of Halpin-Poweleit Eye Center, Dr. Halpin has been providing eye care to the Tri-State since 1979. He attended the University of Kentucky, receiving his B.S. degree in 1971 and his |

medical degree in 1975. Following an internship at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington, he pursued his opthalmology training at both Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Halpin provides all aspects of eye care, but has a subspecialty interest in cataract-implant and refractive eye surgery. He offers his patients the latest technology and expertise in both intraocular lenses and advanced laser eye surgery. |

Dr. Jean Noll
Dr. Noll has been living and practicing locally since 1991. She received her pharmacy degree from St. Johns University, Jamaica, New York in 1980 and earned her medical degree at the Eastern Virginia Medical |

School in 1983. She completed her internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and her residency at the University of Kentucky where she remained on staff for two years as an assistant professor. Dr. Noll was the first surgeon in the Tri-State to offer Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) to her patients. Dr. Noll is board certified in opthalmology with special interests in cataracts, multifocal implants and refractive surgery. |

Dr. Saif Jaweed
Dr. Jaweed, an Ohio native, earned his B.S. from the University of Toledo in 1994 and his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio |

in Toledo. Dr. Jaweed completed his internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and his residency at the University of Cincinnati. He also completed a fellowship in refractive surgery through the University of Cincinnati and LCA Vision. Dr. Jaweed is board certified in comprehensive opthalmology with special interests in cataract surgery, multifocal implants and Lasik surgery. |

Dr. Douglas G. Owen
Dr. Owen earned his B.A. at Long Island University, Brookville, New York and completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. He received his medicaltraining at |

the University of Kentucky which included both an internship and residency at UK Medical Center/Chandler Medical Center. Dr. Owen has practiced in the Richmond, Kentucky area for 20 years, is board certified in comprehensive opthalmology with special interest in cosmetic eye surgery inlcuding eyelid lifts and Botox treatments.

Dr. Chris D. Thon
Dr. Thon received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He continued his medical

education at Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Thon completed his internship at Hot Springs VA Medical Center in Hot Springs, South Dakota and received his Board Certification from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry in 1998. Dr. Thon is licensed to practice in both Ohio and Kentucky. He joined Tri-State Centers for Sight, Inc. in 2001. |

After 32 Years of distinguished service within the Greater Cincinnati eye care community, Dr. John A. Halpin will retire at the end of December, 2007. His brother, Dr. Michael S.
